My Coaching
How I became a women empowerment coach?
I have been working in the helping professions to enhance human well-being for over twenty years. I
have used my professional experience to teach and enable the professional development of others
in this line of work. I have facilitated reflective spaces to help them gain a greater understanding of
their experiences so that they may learn from their successes and failures, develop resilience, and
grow.

Through my work and interest in social entrepreneurship, I have witnessed the pivotal role
that women play in society and the impact of women ‘s un-met needs and un-met desires on not
only themselves but on their loved ones and on their community.
I have listened to and observed that many women find themselves ‘stuck’ in a life that is different to
the one they had envisioned in their teens and early adulthood. Some accept this is the way it is and
carry on, feeling positive and grateful for what they have. Others experience mixed feelings in
relation to where they are, who they have become. While family life may be stable and loving, they
may feel stressed, burdened and overwhelmed by the expectations gender roles places on them.
They may experience tiredness, general feelings of unhappiness that something is missing.
Sometimes, all of these at once. There is often not enough ‘Me-time’ to be or do what they love.
Have you lost sight of what brings you joy? They may feel angst and resentment, and guilt often
prevents them from putting their needs first.
As your coach, I will hold a safe space for you to reconnect with and process your emotions, enabling
a shift of energy and a move forward.
Some women want more from life but are unsure how to get started. Do you? What is holding you
back?
In her book Coach The Person Not The Problem, Nancy Klein defines coaching as a process of inquiry
to provoke critical thinking about clients’ own thoughts and emotions. The purpose is to discern gaps
in their logic, evaluate their beliefs, and clarify the fears and desires that are affecting their choices
and actions. Coaching helps people quickly reframe, shift perspective, and redefine themselves and
their situation. As the result of these new perspectives, clients see new ways forward, take actions
on solutions they had avoided and commit to long term solutions.
As a Women’s Empowerment Life Coach, I am a thinking partner for people who are stuck inside
their stories and perceptions. I help my clients to explore and deconstruct the limiting assumptions
that hold them back, to free their minds from their inner critics and see the range of possibilities that
lie ahead of them so that they can choose an alternative path and take charge of their lives.
